Truancy Call

Truancy Call is a software package that tracks pupil absence and communicates with parents via an automated phone call to their landline, mobile phone or SMS / email.

Parents are then required to respond to these messages, either to speak a reason for their child’s absence into the phone or should they have received a text message, they can text the reasons for their child’s absence. This provides a "First Day Contact" facility.

The software links with SIMS to ensure integration with the School’s MIS.

Truancy Call has been working effectively in several Sandwell Schools over the last few years and SMIS has supported its use.
